1. METEN introduction:
METEN’s history and organization charts METEN English as one of the largest English language training institutes in China. METEN’s students are divided into three parts: teenagers from 10-18 years old who want to improve both English comprehensive ability and exam skills; young students who want to study overseas or want to brush up their English (aged 15+) and young to mid-level professionals (aged 20-50) who are looking for opportunities to polish or upgrade their English for career advancement.
The first METEN English Language Center was established in Chongqing in April, 2006. The METEN teaching and service philosophy has proved to be extremely successful and the school has grown rapidly over the past 10 years.
We have 6 major branches in operation in Chongqing [Jiefangbei branch, Jiangbeibranch (Caifu branch, Future International branch), Yangjiaping branch, Shapingba branch, Nanping branch (Wanda branch), and Dagping branch].
2. Information about this Position:
This position belongs to the Meten Teens Teaching Department. Most of our students are teens (10-18 years old), from primary school students, and middle school students to high school students. We have our own teaching material for different classes. Interesting Teaching of English Thinking and Comprehensive Analysis of the Difficulties in Learning English are our goals in Meten Teens.
We have HT/FT/LT/TA’s in the teaching department. The HT(Head Teacher) is the directmanager of all teachers. LT’s (Local Teachers) teach language classes, culture classes (primary school) and Melite club, The TA(Teaching Assistant) schedules classes for all teachers.
The FT’s main task is to instruct culture classes in MM（middle school students）and MF（high school students） levels, and share Melite clubs.
FT’s duties include:
*Having classes with Meten Teens’ students
*Developing some teaching plans
*Observing classes when you are free
*Having on-line training from HQ
*Face to face training from RT (Regional Trainer)
*Hosting student’s activities
*Having oral tests with LTs
*Offering help for students or staff
Morning shift(10:00am to 6:00pm with one hour break from 12:00 to 1:00 pm)
Evening shift (2:00pm to 9:00pm with one hour break from 5:00 to 6:00 pm)
Full shift for Saturday ONLY (10:00am to 9:00pm with 2 one hour breaks from 12:30pm to 1:00 pm and from 5:00 to 6:00 pm)
Five working days and 2 days off per week(not off on weekends)
Need to clock-in and clock-out using a finger print ID system
3.Responsibilities of Position:
Normally 25teaching hours + 15 office hours per week(offer help to students, meeting, class demos, or trainings) according to the terms of the contract
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the ages, interests, and abilities of students.
Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established district curriculum goals, establishand communicate clear objectives to the students for all lessons, units, and projects.
Support specialized ESL assessments. Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis, provide progress reports as required.
Be familiar with METEN TEEN’s teaching philosophy and course curriculum (experiential learning mode);
1. Bachelors degree or above
2. TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate or 2 years related teaching experience is a plus
