Shanghai Tongzhou Model School is a high-standard modern private school managed in a new model. It has 12 grades, 48 classes and 2000 students from primary school, middle school to high school. The honorary principal, Mrs. Pan Duo, is a deputy to the National People’s Congress and meanwhile a famous mountaineer. The principal Mr. Cheng Biao is a deputy to Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Shanghai, one of the Top 10 Innovative Principals of China. The school cooperates with Tongzhou Model School,Tongzhou Integrated Curriculum Centre, Sports School of Baoshan District, Xingzhi Tracks & Field Sports School, Tongzhou Fencing School, Tongzhou I-go Institute, Tongzhou Handball League, Youth Rock Climbing Club of Shanghai and Shanghai Teaching Cooperation League.
Tongzhou has built a strong relationship with Cavendish School and Varndean College of the U.K. There are about 30 students attending Integrated Program in Cavendish School every year in June, and students continue to study in Vardean College after they finish Grade 10 of Tongzhou.
