At LearningLeaders, we believe that everyone has the right to be heard, respected, and understood. We’ve developed a systematic approach to empower our learners through fourteen different public speaking and debate courses offered in our LearningCenters here in Shanghai. Long-term, we’ll create a virtual-reality-based platform and two-sided marketplace that link our world class coaches to learners all over the globe.
Our learners view public speaking as delightful, effortless, and valuable.
As an organization, we do not directly engage in ‘application consulting’ or ‘admissions consulting.’ With that said, LearningLeaders alumni are represented at many top U.S. boarding schools and colleges. In 2016 and 2017 alone, debaters working with LearningLeaders coaches were selected to be on WSDC Team China and won 4 out of 5 Chinese National Debate Championships.
Our coaches guide learners to develop, enhance, and apply exemplary communication skills. There is no such thing as a typical LearningLeaders coach. The LearningLeaders team consists of 24 team members from ten different countries. Among our team we have working experience at organizations like Apple, J.P. Morgan, Bank of America, Teach for America, Yale University, private-equity firms, and billion-dollar Chinese technology firms. We have advanced degree-holders, from Master’s degrees to Ph.Ds in sociology and J.Ds. Our visiting coaches hail from the New York Times, NYU, UNC, and Yale Law School, among others. The one commonality we all share is our passion for helping people improve their communication skills.
Our goal is to become China’s foremost organization focused on the development of communication and leadership skills through immersive learning experiences. In just three years, LearningLeaders has grown from just an idea to the most successful debate and public speaking coaching organization in China, both by tournament results and by number of participants in weekly practice sessions. We are just getting started. And we need your help.
Our next step is to grow our hub of imaginative learners and coaches.
We still have a long way to go, but our vision is even bigger. By leveraging immersive VR technologies, we will design the most impactful learning experiences that develop communication and leadership skills available anywhere. And better yet, we will make them available to everyone.
