SchoolJoy Schools (with campuses in Shenzhen and Taiyuan, China) was founded with the mission of providing high quality early childhood education services to local children and families in China. Joy offers a holistic theme-based approach to teaching, bringing together key elements of both Eastern and Western teaching philosophies.
Each kindergarten is created around the child – large sun-filled classrooms; a variety of multipurpose rooms for art, music, and dance; a science lab for messy, hands-on experiments; a library with thousands of pictures books ready to be taken home; and outdoor play areas with playgrounds, gardens, sandpits, climbing walls, and more. Joy schools are designed to maximize natural light exposure and ventilation, account for local climate conditions, and ultimately provide our students with a safe and fun environment to learn and grow.
Joy maintains strict class size restrictions, and each class has at least three qualified teachers and one rotating English teacher. All of our teachers are hired based not only on having the proper experience and education, but, more importantly, on their love for children and passion for teaching. Our management team comprises of passionate educators schooled at many of the world’s leading institutions, including Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, and the University of Toronto.
