At Hyde Academy, we believe it is essential that schools deliver content that is relevant and engaging, and we do this through our BARK approach (Bringing Adolescents Real Knowledge). Our signature programs provide opportunities for students to engage actively and apply what they have learned throughout our core curriculum. Beginning in Grade 3, our public speaking program develops effective communicators and confident independent leaders. Open to Grade 6 students and above, our Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program incorporates aspects of technology, business studies, financial math, and design. In this unique program, students learn how to take an idea from conception to reality as they plan and create marketable products. We also firmly believe that learning must occur beyond the four walls of our classrooms. We are delighted to offer Forest School courses that take place off-campus at Hyde Forest. In this 150-mu environment, the children engage in hands-on innovative learning that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and communication. Finally, gratitude is at the heart of our Social and Environmental Responsibility Program. Our students understand not just the power of raising funds for a cause but also the power of committing to a cause with time and effort.
