Private CompanyCixi Wengu Foreign Language Primary School is situated in Cixi – a beautiful city close to Ningbo and a 100 minute train journey from Shanghai. The school is opening in August with Chinese students in grades 1 . The maximum class size will be 30, with a Chinese and foreign teacher in each lesson.
Native English speaking teachers will lead English language lessons and will support the Chinese teachers in other subjects.
There will be the usual expectations regarding lesson planning, marking, assessment, liaising with colleagues, and maintaining an orderly, but fun, teaching environment. Staff will be expected to participate fully in extra-curricular activities. The working week will be around 40 hours, of which 26 will be teaching. Teachers will get 9 weeks holiday per year, as well as the Chinese national Holidays.
