Columbia Pacific Management also owns Columbia Asia, a network of 29 hospital, clinics and extended care facilities in Malaysia, India, Vietnam and Indonesia. Columbia China is now a 50:50 joint venture between Columbia Pacific Management and Temasek.
Columbia Pacific Management was founded in 1989 by Seattle-based entrepreneur Daniel R. Baty, who has been successfully investing in & developing private healthcare and senior living companies for over 40 years. His vision was to serve the growing needs across Asia for high-quality, modern health care within convenient access to major cities and with an emphasis on affordability and transparency. Baty founded Columbia Asia in 1996 which has grown to one of the leading providers of international healthcare services in India, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. Baty is also the founder of investment firm, Columbia Pacific Advisors LLC, as well as Emeritus Corporation, which merged with Brookdale Senior Living, LTD. (NYSE : BKD) in 2014 to form the largest operator of senior living communities in the United States. He has previously served as Chairman of Holiday Retirement Corporation, the largest operator of retirement centers in the U.S. and Canada, which was sold to Fortress Investment Group in 2007. Baty also serves on the Board of Clarity Health Services.

Columbia Wuxi Hospital is located at Changjiang North road in Xinwu District of Wuxi. The Hospital is designed to have 300 beds, 7 operating theatres and 11 intensive care units. The total investment is estimated at more than US$ 100 million. The Hospital will offer general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics & gynaecology, pediatrics, neurology & neurosurgery, orthopaedic, urology, hemodialysis, health management, Chinese Medicine and rehabilitation. This hospital is currently under development and will be opened by the end of 2018.
Columbia Jiaxing Hospital is located in Jinkai District of Jiaxing. This hospital is currently under development and will be opened in the beginning of 2020.
