Badong No. 1 High School is a state-owned public school with over 70 years history since its establishment. It is one of the top-ranked high schools in Hubei Province in terms of academic achievements.
The school is located in Badong County, one of the most attractive travel destinations in China. Badong is surrounding by mountains, and thus is clean and clear with comfortable climate. It is in the well-known Three Gorges area, and the Three Gorges Dam, which is the biggest Dam project in the world, is nearby. Yangtze rive flows from Badong and shows magnificent views along the river. Sidu River Bridge, the tallest bridge in the world and over 50m higher than the second tallest bridge, is within Badong County.
To the west of Badong is Chongqing, a big city in West China. To the east of Badong are Yichang, Wuhan, Shanghai and other cities. Freeway and express trains are easily accessible in Badong. There are also two airports nearby: Enshi and Yichang, both are simply 2 hours away from Badong.
The principal of the school is Mr Fagang SONG, who is a well-recognized Geography teacher.
