University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is a research university which is situated in Hefei, Anhui, China under the Chinese Academy dealing with Sciences. It was founded in Beijing by the Chinese Academy dealing with Sciences in September 1958. The University is a part of the C9 League, which was formed by the top nine universities in China. USTC was established with the main purpose to identify ways to find solutions to common problems of the country in the field of economics, defense, technology, and science. The core skills of the University lie in research in fields of technology and science but recently it has expanded into management and humanities as well.

USTC is located at 96 Jinzhai Road Baohe District Hefei 34 230026 China. Earlier it was based in Beijing but due to the Cultural Revolution, it was later moved to the present location.
