Recently, Shanghai JiaoTong University secured a relationship with Axalta, a global automotive color company to have leaders from Axalta present the newest trends in automotive colors at Shanghai JiaoTong University’s “Color Changes Future” event. Luke Lu, Axalta’s Vice President and President, Greater China states, “It’s our honor to be given this opportunity to share Axalta’s leading innovation concept, insights and solutions on automotive color to OEMs during the color training session.”

A deal was also signed on November 3rd, 2015, between the University and Drexel University. They launched an in-depth cooperation contract in starting a business, making it a deal to launch various forms of cooperation including co-edited courses and textbooks, co-teaching program, mutual visit among teachers and students, etc.

Opportunities for International Students

Shanghai JiaoTong University offers various programs in English, including degrees in finance, economics and management, engineering, technology, international and public affairs, and teaching. As part of the Joint Institute for the University of Michigan, programs are offered to both local and international students, with an opportunity to finish their degrees at the University of Michigan. In this program, students can transfer to the University of Michigan in the sophomore year to pursue a Dual Degree Program and receive a Combined

Undergraduate/Graduate Program where they can secure Masters and PhD Degrees. Similar relationships exist in other programs including a collaboration with Antai College of Economics and Management, in which students can participate in Antai’s Global Summer School. With an International Student Council, International students are widely represented across all campuses.
