Over six campuses, Shanghai JiaoTong University is made up of 31 academic departments and boasts many renowned undergraduates, graduate, Ph.D., and postdoctoral programs ranging from engineering, architecture, science, humanities, economics, medicine, design, media, and law.

Shanghai JiaoTong University offers various programs in English, including degrees in finance, economics and management, engineering, technology, international and public affairs, and teaching. As part of the Joint Institute for the University of Michigan, programs are offered to both local and international students, with an opportunity to finish their degrees at the University of Michigan.
